Stories can be reported in different ways to add impact, this is called a story treatment. Copy, Clips, Wraps, Voxes or Voicers are all different forms of treatment.
Copy
Copy is where the only voice you will hear the the newsreaders. it is a story with no audio attached to it.
Clip
This is where you hear a 'sound bite' from another person, who isn't a reporter. It may be a part of an interview. E.g. Robbie told us he is thrilled to have a daughter (cuts to Robbie saying how thrilled he is)
Wraps
A wrap is when you hear the newsreader followed by a clip then followed by the newsreader again.
Vox
This is where the story is enhanced by public opinion. It's a good way to add interest by involving the audience to interact. E.g. we asked what the students at South Downs College what they thought...
Voicers
This is where the newsreader 'crosses over' to someone at the scene, or someone with more expert knowledge on a particular subject. E.g. our sports reader xxx has more...
